Board Meeting Q2 2025

Dear ABE Board Members and Guests,

Eric and I look forward to welcoming you to New York, one of the world’s most vibrant and dynamic cities, this June for our Board meeting.

This year, we’re especially excited to host our event in the heart of Manhattan, at the Royalton Park Avenue hotel, located in the NoMad neighborhood (short for North of Madison Square Park), which is known for its elegant architecture, boutique hotels, and terrific dining. NoMad is also centrally located, making it easy to get to many must-see Manhattan destinations—from the Flatiron Building and the High Line to Times Square and the Theater District.

In addition to covering our important business agenda, we will be celebrating our 70-year partnership with New York Life during our time together.

We will start things off a little differently with an evening at CitiField on Wednesday, June 11, as the New York Mets take on the Washington Nationals. Whether you're a die-hard baseball fan or just a seeker of good food and company, we’re sure you will enjoy the skyline views and upscale ballpark food and beverage from the comfort of our private suite, while unwinding and soaking up the local spirit. Transportation will be provided.

On Thursday, June 12, breakfast will be available for everyone at the Royalton. The Board will then make the short walk to the New York Life building, where NYL will host our meeting and lunch. Before the meeting kicks off, Board members will join for a tour of the neo-gothic New York Life building, which is one of the most iconic buildings in the NY skyline.

While the Board is meeting on Thursday, spouses and guests can enjoy some free time on their own or visit the Frick Collection, which houses some of the world's foremost collections of European fine and decorative arts, with masterworks ranging from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century. The Frick Collection officially opened in April after nearly five years under construction. After your dose of culture, the group will walk to Seamore’s, a sustainable seafood restaurant for a casual lunch.

On Thursday evening, we will gather for a reception and dinner in the Park Lounge, overlooking Park Avenue, at the Royalton Park Avenue.

On Friday, the Board will meet for another full day; this time we’re staying put at the Royalton. During the day, spouses and guests will have time to see the sights of New York on their own or join Eric for a self-guided walking tour of Chelsea, a neighborhood known for its art galleries, delicious eateries, and the High Line elevated park. And you can’t do Chelsea without stopping at the Chelsea Market for lunch!

On Friday evening, our group will be treated to a special celebration dinner at the Hunt & Fish Club in Times Square, generously hosted by New York Life. We’re deeply grateful for their continued partnership and look forward to sharing this memorable evening together.

We will not meet on Saturday, as this will be a travel day for most. But please join us before you head out to the airport for a buffet breakfast to fortify yourself for the journey home.

Attire for board meetings is smart casual (polo shirt, slacks or skirt/dress) and attire for the evening receptions and dinners is business attire.
